Butterflies and the Frugal Bride

In recent days I have had the privilege to peep into the CCC mailbag to read about how our customers incorporate butterflies into their special occasions. This bride's story really made me smile!
Like so many of us these days, Lynette is acutely budget-conscious, not just because of the challenging economy in general, but because she proudly proclaims herself "a penny-pincher from way back!"
An earlier purchase of CCC butterflies inspired Lynette to choose them again for the decor and accessories used at her frankly frugal wedding.
How did she do it? Shopping through our Etsy store, she selected these elements:

- Two packs of uncut mixed small butterflies - her bridesmaids and flower girls had fun cutting them out at a bridal shower, and then they were strewn on the bride's walk up the aisle.
- Custom pack of 100 white and clear butterflies, some of which were stitched to her vintage veil and train.
- Butterflies used as table decor, on place cards, table number cards and - in a brilliant money-saving move - wired into humble garden-centre plants that became charming centrepieces.
- Packs of white wires to attach butterflies to the bridal party's bouquets of garden flowers, and to the beautiful cake her mother made for the occasion.
Weddings can be notoriously expensive, but Lynette substituted ingenuity, imagination, and a personal sense of style to offset a teensy budget, and make a truly memorable celebration of her new life.
We love to read about the clever ways you use CCC butterflies and other products in your occasions! Please, if you can, share yours too - you could be the star of a future blog post here. :-)
