I know it has been ages since I blogged and that is slack but all for a good reason. We have been doing so well that I haven't had five minutes to sit and type. Butterflies are flying out the door and I so appreciate my customers for the lovely compliments we have received especially the photos so here are just a few :)

This customer used a mix of wires and icing to attach here
Butterflies. It made for a spectacular cake.

The most successful wedding pack we have sold this year is the Martha Stewart Replica Pack. A Vibrant Rainbow of colours attached to the cake simply with a touch of royal icing on the shiny side of the butterfly.
This cake has approx 60 Butterflies covering it.

Why should the kids miss out. This customer decorated for her daughters fairy party. The shiny side of the butterly was attached to the sticky buttercream icing and safely removed before eating :)

Iknow this photo is a little hard to see but I wanted to let you appreciate the amounbt fo work this mum went to for her daughters 1st Birthday Party. Butterflies and Ladybugs scattered the walls, decorated the sweet bags and even the balloons.

Australians Unite

The past two weeks have been devestating for most in our Country. Not only have Victorians been affected by the fires but Queensland and NSW have suffered greatly with terrible floods.

We sit here wondering why Mother Nature can be so cruel and at other times we admire her beauty. Personally I have been very lucky as I do not live in fire district  but my heart  goes out to those who have endured everything this tragedy has dealt.  We know we can't help with the pain and the loss but I hope you all know and will visit websites like mine and others of proud Victorians that are thinking of you and wanting you to know we care.

It is National Day of Rememberence  here and I have just sat and watched the sad but very emotive ceremony to honour those that passed and those that will survive to go on and rebuild their homes and their lives.

Bathroom Beauties

A long time ago I decorated soaps by cutting out wrapping paper and using a sealer to attach them and they were really effective. So when we started making these butterflies I thought they would also look fantastic.

There is two different ways we have found to use them with soaps. This first one is so easy and make great gifts for friends or family. Simply go to your local craft store and purchase a waterproof sealer, I know Jo Sonja make one but for overseas buyers I am sure you will find  another similar product.
